Inception

The last time that I went to the cinema was two months ago and I saw Inception. This movie turned into one of my favorite movies. I see movies very followed and not I like all. But The origin impressed me very much.

I believe that a lot of time ago was not thinking so deeply about a movie. I was charmed with all the prominent figures, I liked the direction, the photography, the special effects and the assembly. It was a very good and striking history. Many means treated it as a garbage.

My great favorite movie is The Fountain. It is a beautiful movie that treats of a top love lived in three different times. I saw her the year 2008. Me much does not like to see the movies any more than two times because they lose the magic and I analyze it very much.
I travel very much and many hours in bus and in my last 5 trips I have seen in the bus the movie Taken. I liked the first time, but I hated the third time.

The end

I think the English classes at the University have helped to know more about the language. The problem is that less time and a little dedication not allow me to better take advantage of the course. Another problem is the change of teachers at each level. That causes it not to follow a definite line of learning and not get used to the ways that each teacher teaches and explain. The general advantage is the use of blog, but the little vocabulary that prevents us from doing good handle texts.

My experience in the English class has been very good and even fun. The only intention of face me instructions which ask me to develop and work into an English text creates an appropriate scene to makes me get closer to the language. Though we’re not that prepared for developing great narrations and having a personal writing style I believe this activity contributes to an effective learning, compared to the old and recurrent teaching activities you can use in an English class. Maybe the most useful mechanism would be individually study the grammatical rules at home, watching movies to accent and pronunciation assimilation and then get the teacher’s guide to put in practice the English writing and the English speaking.

The customized assistance that teacher performs help us to understand in a handy and closer way the new contents we learn in the classroom and that we put in practice in our texts writing. However, when you want to encompass many things, sometimes, you don’t accomplish everything you planed.
It’s possible that at our blog sessions working time we can only write one kind of phrases, which does not deserve a deep analysis, and neither gets connected in a cohesive way with the general idea of the text. This happens because we’re still not prepared to elaborate advanced level texts. It’s no very funny to write texts without knowing so much the language.
As our teacher can notice the transversal problem of the class is the pronunciation and the grammatical rules circumstantial omission, which makes us make most frequently mistakes.

To face this class phase by an alternative way it’s necessary to add a vocabulary full embrace program, audios and texts for home reading. However, the big academic charge of our careers impossible us to dedicate the necessary time to the basics points of the language learning. In general, the problem of learning failure has a lot to do with the poor time dedication to English, because of the big and multiply responsibilities we have, and the tiring and complicated thing that results to assist to a class in a horary when you don’t have strength for nothing.


I believe that to learn English is necessary to devote much to learn grammar and vocabulary. The classes to other classes they take our time. Ideally a full year to study English without branches or seek other forms of learning such as watching movies and talking to people who know the language.

Environment

I think it's very difficult for people in Chile to approach the care of the environment. If don’t there consciousness in health, education and culture is less likely to worry about the care of the environment. Always I see people throwing garbage from their cars or from windows of the buses. If I go to a beach at night I see the pollution of the people. Also in the JGM every friday is a lot of garbage all over the grass and if we arrived early on Monday, the print is larger. Daylight reveals all the dirt. At the University there are areas of recycling and that has helped nearly recycling. But since there are many places that make it difficult to select the trash. I haven’ t car, I'm transported in bus. For my physical condition I don’t use a bicycle. In 2007 I approached the organization not to Pascualama, it defended the Huasco valley , but today only informed me of the problem. Time does not allow me to work harder.

Summary

In England society more than half of children going into care do not know they are being separated from their families, revealed a survey. The Roger Morgan report (the children’s rights director for England) showed that almost two/thirds of the interviewed children were not warned about their transfer to a new home.
Only 8 of the 48 who answered had been given a choice of where they were going to leave. The most of the children said that nobody told them which was going to be their home, and neither invited them to visit it before the transfer. A huge part of the kids got into their new places knowing nothing about it. To make matters worse fifteen children said that did not received help from social workers before being placed in care.
Some of the children experimented psychological damage because of this situation. To can not said good bye to his family or give a hug to his mom before he leaves can provoke several hurt to the mental sanity of the kid.

Although only 16 children said they wanted to go into care 35 of them think that it is the right thing. 14 said that they should have been taken into care earlier and 38 believed that their lives were now better.

Morgan says that he is conscious of this problem, and that he can understand the children. “The fear and confusion that children experience when entering care could be lessened if they know at each stage what is happening to them. More must be done to inform and prepare children before they enter care”. “However, it is reassuring to hear from children that once they are in care their life is generally better. Some children expressed they felt saber and happier”.

My favourite tv show

My favourite tv show is Prison Break. Mi best friend Nicole always told me about this serial. She told me that tv show was very entertaining. She didn' t stop seeing it.
I didn' t want to see it because I did not have a lot of time and one day I decided to see it and could not stop any more.
Prison Break is wonderful. It have suspense, drama and a screenplay very ingenious. I really like it. I don't have time for to see the second season. I saw the firts season any more.
The character are very elaborate and the history is very intriguing. All is connecting, all is good fulfilled. I love it.

My favourite cartoon

I do not remember much about the cartoon I saw as a child. I remember playing with dolls a lot and I like to review books of short stories, fables and animals. What I saw were soap operas and some programs like El tiempo es oro and Maravilloso. Larger and began to see Los Picapiedras.

My mom worked all day and I went to school until 4 pm. As I got up early, came home tired and had no desire to play. I think I slept a little and then to the work of calligraphy or art drawings. So I say do not recall seeing many pictures. The order of weeks, he shared time with my mom and in the afternoon I used to see some pictures. I remember seeing films of Walt dysney tired. In Copiapo, where he lived until entering the University, was a cinema films arriving very late, but at least served to watch movies not yet out at Blockbuster.

also remember that I did not like Japanese animation, I only entertained the Detective Conan. I do not like Sailor Moon or Dragonball or Ranma. My mom told me that the Power Rangers were very imaginative and I could not see why until I saw with my friend Milena and I loved them. From there I became a fan and rented as three times the film and I did not miss any chapter. That started my interest in the series. Interest that continues to this day.

Knowing Santiago

I believe that Santiago de Chile is a city full of very entertaining opportunities. You have many options to choose and from all kind of stuff. My favorite place is El Mercado Central. Maybe it is too mucho known and the most visited place by the tourists, but it is because of its magic, wonderful atmosphere and obviously great flavors. If someone goes to El Mercado Central must eat Paila Marina, a South-Chilean soup which contents a lot of delicious shellfishes and a rich amount of sea spices. Also must try Reineta con Chilena, fresh fried fabulous fish with the most popular Chilean salad: Tomatoes and skinny sliced onion. Well if I keep speaking about El Mercado I could never end. Other very local and culture thing tourist must try is go to the Football stadium, preferably to El Clásico, the most important match which faces Colo Colo and U. de Chile. I believe that the whole experience is infinitely different, because of the crowd called “Barra Brava”, the flags, the colored smoke, the papers, the songs, the passion involved, and obviously the quality of the match. Even the police and fan violence in the stadium is a very Chilean Football element which makes us be what we are. The food you can eat at the stadium also is very Chilean, like Sanguche de Potito and Sopaipillas. First is meat from the anus of the cow-made-sandwich and the second a very popular fried hot mass, made with pumpkin. Well, there are many other places people must know, but I think that these two I mentioned are a Must!

Spain

I would like to visit España. I feel very intersted about meeting the people, the life, the places, the communication, the relationship, the culture and especially the way the people look at each other.

I refer how that culture can manages to form thoughts about different relation, people, his bodies, his emotions and his acts. This is a prejudice. I have the idea of there are an evolved perception of the environment in general.

I did not known the deep way the culture, neither the history this country. But I interested because is a place for intelect and knowledge before to Latin America.

I can say that my intention is to travel to Spain to do some course or posgrado in journalism. I would like to be two years there, studying and being employed at what my university studies allow me. I would like to cross all the nearby countries and to know many persons of different nationalities, to make friend and to create contacts.

I would like come back and to spread all knowledge lerned and then to travel one time more to Spain for visit my news friends.

The last semester

Well, In the last semester I worked teaching in the Institute of Comumication and Image. I deepened on the identity subject. I learned about topics related to the Latin American refuge and the Topics related to the social memory. All that thanks to my participation in a project of investigation in the area of the social sciences.

With my work in the classes for students of the first year I specialized on the area of Communication and Identity. I knew more authors and I approached the different currents of thought more.

I did not practise any type of sport. In the summer I registered in a gym in my stay in Coquimbo. There I practised aerobox, pilates, aerobics and entertaining dance. Nowadays I am gliding to return to do exercise. My sedentary life is lethal.

Now I want to continue in my studies, specifically related with the social sciences and working in class in this Institutte. I hope to travel in september, before fiestas patrias, because in the summer I will make my journalism experience .

Finally I want to visit my family in Copiapó. For my study and my work I cant visit them frequently and this is very sad. I hope to carry out this plan.

La disputa por el control y la libertad en Internet

Hoy, martes 13 de julio -con 100 votos a favor y una abstención- Chile se convierte en el primer país del mundo en aprobar una Ley que garantiza la neutralidad en la red. Y, ¿qué significa esto? Esto significa que los proveedores de internet no pueden intervenir en los contenidos a los que podamos acceder los usuarios. Lo que se hace es proteger al usuario contra las posibles restricciones o limitaciones que intenten imponer los proveedores de internet, de esta forma se les entrega una mayor información y un servicio mejorado. Por lo que se les prohíbe a los ISP interferir, discriminar o entorpecer de cualquier forma los contenidos, aplicaciones o servicios, salva acciones destinadas a garantizar la privacidad de los usuarios, la protección contra virus y la seguridad de la red.

Para entender mejor, podemos decir que una red neutral está libre de limitaciones del tipo de comunicación que está permitido. Asimismo no se restringe el contenido ni los sitios ni las plataformas utilizadas, sin que se bloqueen aplicaciones, ni sitios web. El hecho de que existan compañías de telecomunicaciones que imponen su modelo de servicio demuestra que el interés está el conseguir beneficios aprovechándose del control servicio, así lo explican los adeptos de la neutralidad de la red.

Pero, ¿qué es lo que esta realmente en juego con este avance o cambio en la regulación de Internet? Para eso, necesitamos remontarnos al pasado.

Según Castell en el texto Visiones sobre internet: redes, protocolos, utopías, extensión del mundo real internet es “un instrumento de comunicación libre, creado de forma múltiple por gente, sectores e innovadores que querían que fuera un instrumento de comunicación libre”. (Castells; 8) Sin embargo, la libertad se mantiene en la abstracción de su significado. Para Lessig, en el texto Comunidades y cultura libre: geografía en internet, Motivación y nuevas formas de organización y pertenencia, Internet tiene variadas limitantes, “El código es un regulador en el ciberespacio porque define los términos en que éste se nos ofrece. Y aquéllos que establecen dichos términos reconocen cada vez más el código como un medio para conseguir las conductas que más les benefician.” (Lessig, 148)

Los usuarios no tienen otra opción: deben aceptar estas indicaciones porque la plataforma fue diseñada así, porque su código está configurado para que así sea. Entonces, el código es una herramienta de control. “El código es la ley aquí, y ese código/ley aplica su control directamente. Obviamente este código cambia (como la ley). La clave es reconocer que este cambio en el código se concibe (a diferenciade las leyes de la naturaleza) con el fin de reflejar las decisiones y los principios de los desarrolladores de ese código”(Lessig; 187)

Pues es así, como la restricción existente y dada por el código limita las formas en que el usuario se desenvuelve en la red. Y además de ello, sindica cómo un aparataje ideológico modera la web. No son decisiones antojadizas, son formas de cultivar el desarrollo informático y de coartar la experiencia posible en aquella plataforma, cada uno lo mirará como guste.

He ahí la importancia de la ley. No sólo nos permite acceder a conocimiento no restringido, sino que regula el respeto de la libertad de cada cual en las elecciones tomadas. Pero tampoco hay que ser ilusos. Para muchos puede ser la puerta hacia la libertad de la información, pero muchos otros sabemos que esa información libre que circula no proviene precisamente de los reyes de la pluralidad. Apertura comunicacional, pero de esa información que sí se puede mostrar sin tapujos. De esa información que pinta de negro lo que para los protagonistas es blanco. Contenido con un derecho de admisión, regulado, pero mediado al fin y al cabo.

Vínculo entre ética hacker, software libre y periodismo participativo

Según Stallman en el texto Software libre, Ética y principios hackers, Web 2.0, Periodismo Ciudadano y Cultura Participativa un software libre es “la libertad de los usuarios para ejecutar, copiar, estudiar, modificar y mejorar el software”. Gracias esto se puede utilizar un programa independiente de su propósito, para luego desentrañar sus fórmulas internas y modificarlo de acuerdo a las propias necesidades en pos de una mejora o de una readecuación según intereses. Con ello, se puede difundir ampliamente para que más personas accedan a este servicio.

Esta idea se relaciona con uno de los valores de la ética hacker planteado por Pekka Himanen. De acuerdo al texto La ética del hacker y el espíritu de la era de la información, lo que los usuarios realmente desean tiene que ver con la realización de una pasión que puede ser compartida con los demás en tanto la necesidad de la comunidad a que sea parte de estas nuevas formas. Así, según los valores otorgados por los mismos destinatarios se pone a disposición de ellos elementos de los cuáles quién sea puede usufructuar. Estos resultados de la creatividad de usuarios pueden, entonces, ser utilizados, desarrollados y puesto a prueba por cualquiera, de modo que todos puedan aprender unos de otros.
Así vemos como el software libre respeta las libertades del usuario. Situación que extiende un poco los márgenes de desenvolvimiento de ellos, dado que con el sólo hecho de adquirir un computador ya está sometiéndose a las leyes y protocolos que de ahí emergen. Por eso a la hora de elegir el tipo de software que se utilizará se está pavimentando el camino de cómo el usuario se desenvolverá en la web y qué tipo de reglas y limitaciones está dispuesto a aceptar.
La noción de un “propietario” de las ideas que propone el software privativo no tiene nada que ver con lo que ofrece el software libre: apuesta por la libertad y solidaridad social. Situación que se aleja de un mecanismo limitante y de fórmulas restrictivas. Así, es posible desarrollar variadas iniciativas que funcionen como una colaboración en el aprendizaje de los usuarios y como una forma de desarrollar aún más el trabajo mancomunado y en línea.

Así vamos entendiendo como se pueden construir puentes que, mediante la colaboratividad modifiquen la eterna noción del propietario. Esto junto con la irrupción del periodismo participativo pueden crear nuevos escenarios incluyentes y con mayor libertad al acceso a la información para que los avances puedan beneficiar a todos los usuarios en pos de un trabajo relacionado y generado por todos.

My future

I would like in my future to be able to travel for the world giving lessons and class about different subjects.

My object is to be an investigator in the social sciences and work in different investigations. My idea is to work with persons, not in an office enclosed. I would like that my works were publishing in many magazines and this way to be able to be recognized as an important authors.

I would not like to marry. I prefer travelling and knowing many persons before that to marry. I want to have two children, but at the age of thirty five. I would like that they were growing in a country of socialist government in order that they were not growing with the ideas of the consumption and the capitalism. My children will be very happy in this world.

I would like to live in Cuba and to be able to travel to Europe to study and I do posgrades. Also I would like to have the necessary time to go to holidays to the cinema and to go out with my friends and my boyfriend..

To achieve these desires I am studying very much in the University and I am working in investigation. This way give me experience and it will make me happy.

My favorite piece of technology

My favorite piece of technology is my camara sony. I like it very much because it allows me to extract photos of high quality.

I take care of it very much because my grandmother gave her to me in my birthday. I wanted that they were returning because it is very expensive, but ultimately I remained with it.

I like to take my camara to my trips, to photograph in meetings and later to see the photos and to remember those moments.

If it did not have my camara it would be very sad because it might not extract photos independently, would I have to borrow camara or use older camaras, that I can not take thousands of photos and I can not to delete and guard this photos without any problems. In addition since I can see it in the computer and I can do many arrangements to them in pothoshop in order that they meet nicer.

My favorite photograph

My favorite photograph is about my class trip. In the photograph there is me and my friend Milena. We were sleeping on the bus in South of Chile. My friend Pablo took the photograph and we didn' t realise. After we watched the camara and the situacion was very funny. I like this photograph very much because it represents my life in that time: sleep and travel.
In this trip I met a lot of my clasmates. I took many photographs but I didn't have digital camara. So the photographs were saved in the album, I couldn't publish them in the web. Even I think the photograph could be lost in my home in Copiapo. It is really sad.
At present I have a digital camara. For this I can take photograph in all my trips.

I like to take photograph in my trips. In my last trip to Brazil I took 500 pictures. In my last winter vacations I took 300 pictures.I visited La Serena, Coquimbo and the Elqui valley. Definitely the pictures are the most beatiful memory about trips and visits to other contries and cities.

The Capital Punishment

The Capital Punishment is not a good solution to reduce criminality. It is not possible to consider the Capital Punishment as alternative. The government must respect the basic human rights.
I think anybody can kill people though he is a criminal person. The killing a criminal is also a crime.
Beside the country gets a dirty image.
The problem about Capital Punishment is the little approval for the people and the posibility of the mistake. The pros is the jail has more space for many people criminal of the country.
The government should give more opportunities to people specially to marginal and poor people.
So this should finish that disparity in the country.
The origin of the increasing criminality in Chile is for the disparity of people life conditions. The people don't have food and clothes, so people steal.
I have never been a victim of a crime. I am very lucky.

My favorite festivity

My favorite festivity is the New Year Festivity, because I usually travel to Copiapó or La Serena and go out with my family and my friends. I watch movies with my mother and my little sister. This is the only day in the whole year we meet to eat togueter, because my grandad wakes up from his bed in the second floor. Also my cousin David comes to home with his baby and his girlfriend.
During the New Year Festivity I visit my best friend house and I talk with his cool father about politic, natural enviroment and Journalism. After that I go out with my mom to get food for the dinner.
Last time I could not travel to Copiapó because of medical problems. So I went to Entel Tower with my boyfriend and his family and we watched the fireworks.
I would like to travel out of the country and know how is the New Year Festivity en other lands.
This year I want to go to Valparaiso with my college friends and my beatiful boyfriend.

My best friend

My best friend is Carolina Pinto. She is 21 years old. I met Carolina when I was 5 years old. We studied in the same school all our lives. Carolina is very funny, cheerful and nice person. She likes parties and go shopping. She loves clothes and shoes. She lived in Concepcion because change her career. At present she studies law. But she doesn' t know what profession to study. She decided study this carrer because of his family. Everybody is a lawyer.
Me and Carolina traveled very much to many cities. I always go to visit her when I travel to Copiapó. We are very close friends and she is my confindant.
At present it is dificult to talk with her. I miss her very much.

Néstor García Canclini

In my University life I met very different authors related to antropology. In 2007 I read Culture and comunication: Between global and local , in the Comunication and Identity asignature. I liked this book very much. So I started a read about Identity, specifically this author.
Néstor García Canclini is an anthropologist from Argentina. He was born 1 th december in 1939. He studied posmodernism matter and the culture from the latinoamerican perspective. The principal concept he invented was " cultural mixture".

He studied philosophy and became doctor in antropology. Néstor was teacher in a lot of universities, some of them were Nápoles, Barcelona and Sao Paulo. His most importan works were "popular art and latin american society ".

My favorite vacation place

In this summer I went to Río de Janeiro in Brazil with my boyfriend Alvaro. I stayed for two weeks in Copacabana street, specifically in Brazucas hostal. I traveled three days by bus. It is very cheap, but it is not very comfortable. Rio de Janeiro is the most beautiful place I have been
in my life. The weather is very hot and humid. The people are very nice and generous. I liked very much the culture of country. The life is very expensive, I saw a lot of poor people sleeping in the rich street.
I visited a lot of beaches, the Corcovado hill, the downtown and the Maracaná stadium. I met a lot of people of many different countries around the world. In my room a woman from Israel slept and one boy from United States. The relations there were very interisting and special.

Me and the earthquaka in Chile

I was in my summer vacations, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, when I heard about the earthquake in Chile. I woke up early in the morning, very hungry and tired, because last night I was in a party club dancing with my friends, so I walk to the hostel’s kitchen to get some milk and bread. A Jewish girl from Israel stops me and said: “Did you hear the news? There was an earthquake in Chile! The scientists on the tv said that it was one of the greatest earthquakes of all times, something like the number 5 of all human history”.
I got paralyzed, and I didn’t say anything. Some seconds later I finally recovered and I said her: “You have got to be kidding!” She looked at me very serious and response: “No, I am not. I’m sorry”. In that moment, all my day and my life changed forever.

Biography

My name is Andrea, I have 21 years old. I was born in Copiapó. For this I change of house.
I live with mi uncle and my cousin, his name is Alejandro and he study Architecture.
One time for month visit my family in Copiapó. I Travel 12 hours on the bus. This make me happy. In this place go out with my school's friends and visit my teachers. I rest with my grandfather and see movies with my mother and my little sister.
In this time is very dificult travel with more frequency. I don't have time for anything. I have read and write texts all the time. Im really tired. But I feel so happy. I like my life here.
